Offered for sale is a very nice piece of pressed glass. Shown on EAPGPATTERNS.COM, this set was made by Bakewell, Pears & Co. in 1870, and George Duncan & Sons in 1889. This compote is about 6 1/2" tall and 8 1/2" across. The edge of the bowl measures about 1 3/4" to the top of the scallop.
It appears to be in very good condition. There are a couple of flea bites on the foot, but I cannot find any other chips, cracks, or repairs. There are some light scratches inside. There are some raised specks inside that can be felt, but don't show. They appear to be part of the glass. There are a couple of "straw marks".
My terms and conditions are pretty basic. I would like reasonable contact from my buyers. Let me know how and when you plan to pay. Provide complete shipping information. Payment must be received within 10 days. Checks must clear before the item is shipped.
I ship, insured, via US Post Office Priority Mail, usually within one business day.
